Well, I don't think without Wi-Fi it won't work. >> Oh, we're live again. >> That's what happens. You The older we get, we get a little rusty and so we're we're not in the habit of >> Yeah. >> turning everything off, but we are super excited to be here because it's been way too long. >> And I forgot to unmirror the image. And so, um, you're over there now. >> See? >> Wow. >> See? Yeah. that kind of >> we're we're switched. You're on the opposite side. So, >> you need to switch. >> Okay. People are jumping back on again. >> Yay. Thank you for being with us. >> That's um the beauty of the internet and technology is one minute you're um live, the next minute you have no internet connection. >> So, we're hoping all the people that purchase these hundred tickets are with us. Um, you don't have to be with us, but hopefully you're with us because one person's going to be drawn and they're going to win an Apollo 6. >> Yep. So, we got Top Coat Paintings with us. Hello. Kenny King's with us. Michael Thompson's with us. Joshua Hagen, the Bond Man. So, hey, we got some people jumping on. >> So, they don't win the Apollo 6. >> Hello. Hello. People say welcome back all. Um, so it's been way too long. >> It's been way too long. So, we're going to be giving away um the Apollo Precision 6 tonight. So, um >> so one one one of these >> one one of the lucky 100 um tickets in the bucket, but we're giving away a lot of other stuff. We're going to give away some frog tape. Uh going to give away a gooseeneck brush. We're going to give away a custom paint light. >> Why don't we show each of these things? >> Uh we could do that. >> Okay. So, we're going to give away >> You can show that. What a um in all the melee that just happened, we're trying to figure out why we lost our internet connection. Um but people are jumping back on. So, >> but you said that the paper is crepe, but it's actually >> washi paper. And when you're getting our age, your skin starts to look a little crepey. >> Yeah. And so, um put some frog tape on your face and you'll look a little bit better as you get older. So, um, one of the great things about it is it's really thin and you can actually mask curved lines. I've done it. It absolutely works. It's amazing. You can mask a circle. >> And what I've learned from watching you is you're not going to get big dams. >> You're not going to get big dams. So, the thicker the tape, the bigger the dam you'll get. And if you have to go back over and paint over it later on down the road, you're going to have a line on the wall, wherever you created that dam. Um, it's got a 28 day release. She just bumped the table. You did created an earthquake. So, uh um uh and it's two times stronger than you know regular. >> So, we're going to give away a couple bundles, >> a whole case of rogue tape. >> I don't know if it's a case, but it's going to be a miscellaneous bag. >> They packaged a case. It's like >> we call it a case. I mean, the case could be this big. I mean, >> we're going to give away some Frog Tape today. >> A case of a multiack of Frog Tape. So, >> what else are we going to give away? I'll convince him to give him a case. So, >> what else are we giving away? >> Uh, we're going to give away Hey, a gooseeneck brush. If you've never seen the gooseeneck brush, uh, it's a must. >> That's how old we are. I have to go forward and it's hard. >> You're squinting. >> I It's Gina. Always a VIP. Hope you're all doing well tonight. We're doing great. So, um, hopefully some of those people that were because I don't see some of the names names we kicked off, you know, when the internet connection went gone. I'm hoping they're coming back on. >> Yes. >> Hopefully they're not sitting there on the old live. So, goose neck brush. It actually >> You deleted it. >> Bends. And >> there's a time and a place when you need that. >> Oh, absolutely. I always have one in my vehicle and it goes onto an extension pole. You never know when you're going to use it. It's a pretty dang cool product. So, um >> So, Chris, can you can you It's been a few months. Could you give a recap of what what you've been working on and why why we haven't been live? >> I've been working on my fishing skills. >> Okay. >> I'm pure fishing. >> Okay. >> Uhhuh. >> Where at? >> Um catching Spanish mackerel in Gulf Shores. So >> what state? >> Alabama. >> Alabama. So we're >> the great state of Alabama. If anybody's on here on Alabama >> on >> from Alabama, I'll tell you what. Let me know. give you a pack of stickers. >> We'll be going back to Alabama soon. Why? >> Um so my oldest daughter's going to be having a baby soon. Her third. My um so I'm on grandchild five or six. >> Five. >> Six. >> Six. Five. >> Two more coming and that'll be six and seven. So, >> so we have a grandson in Alabama going to be born in a bit and we have a baby girl that's going to be born here. >> Um, >> under two weeks. >> Yeah. Under two weeks. >> So, we have two daughters that are due a week apart from each other. Yeah. >> So, grandpa and grandma. >> Exciting. >> What do you like about being a grandpa? >> Um, oh my gosh, everything. It's just um watching the kids grow up. They're so much fun. They put a smile on your face every day. They're happy golucky kids. I like them when they come running to me saying, "Papa, I got to go fishing with my grandson. He absolutely loved it. It was awesome. He learned all the names of the fish that we were catching. I think we caught five different species of fish on the pier in Alabama. So, um, yeah. So, people are jumping. Um, live free and retire." Uh >> um well after 20 years of painting with um Nord tradition brushes I have grown on grown on brilliant finish brushes for fast interior cutting is pretty blue your best brush. Pretty blue. Um I'm a big fan of premier brushes, handmade brushes in New York. >> I wish I could read those. >> Um >> so what else we had big happen this last week? Um, >> we got another granddaughter. Our our >> our middle daughter adopted um our that would be our fifth grand grandchild. So, >> yeah. >> Yeah, we have. So, yeah, she's having a baby and she adopted um their daughter and a teenager and so we have been blessed with grandchildren. >> Yeah. Awesome. So, Les Taylor says, "Do you think oilbased paint on trim finish is better than water-based paint?" I'm a big fan of water-based paints. No, I'm not a fan of oil based paints. >> Don't they yellow? >> Water-based technologies come a long ways. Yeah. Um, there's a lot of issues with oil based paints. Water-based paints have come a long ways. I'm a big fan on doing interior repaints. Uh, Benjamin More Advance and um, Sherwam's Emerald urethane. I think they're absolutely amazing. They stick to anything. They brush well. They spray well. Um, Advanced Brush is better than Emerald Urethane. But they're both great products. >> So, I think we're going to mix it up. We're just gonna if we draw your name and you win something, we're going to put your name back in the thing for the big drawing. But, we just want to we'll just throughout the show >> give do a drawing. So, let's do a drawing of Frog Tape. >> So, Les says he's he has a hard time spraying water-based coatings. And you know, if you're switching from one to the other, there is there's always a learning curve. I mean, there's a learning curve for me. I just, you know, recently um what was it? The paint I just did that ran a um I used a product Benjamin Moore Gallery. >> No, that's not Benjamin Moore. It's >> Sherwin Williams Gallery. I sprayed it and it it ran fast. It ran fast. It was >> It ran fast. And um so there's a learning curve and you'll get used to it. But um you know to me tip size, your pressure is going to be around 2200 PSI. Tip size if you're getting a lot of runs go down in tip size. Um you know if you're 310, if you're greater than that, you're probably going to be getting runs. But if you're spraying with a 310 and you're getting runs, go down in size. So with Gallery, I was getting runs, you know, with a 310 and a 510. Jump down to like a 308 or a 306 and you're probably going to stop that whole uh running problem. So to me, it's it's it's mostly related to tips tip sizing. >> So why don't you don't look. We're going to pick one winner of a frog. >> So the these these people were entries um for the sprayer. Mhm. >> So, I'm going to there I'm going to pick a name, but then they're it's going to go right back in here. They're not going to be eliminated from spraying. So, Casey Jones. >> Casey Jones. Casey Jones. >> Let me write his order number down. >> His order number. We don't need people to know that. >> Yeah. He um purchased one of the tickets, Casey Jones. So, he's going to get a case of Frog Tape. So, that just paid for his ticket. So, >> more than paid for his ticket. >> Yeah. Way more than two rolls would have paid for his ticket. So, but I think um grandkids make you forget all that's going on. I'll tell you what, they um make life happy. >> And I think that's part of, you know, the paint life because of the career that Chris chose um and what we've been able to do. Um we're able to spend time with our grandkids and we are going to have so we're not that crazy because our daughter had two foster daughters and she's pregnant and our other daughter has two and she's going to have another and then our other daughter has one. So, in one month, we're going from we're going up to seven. We're gaining three. >> All right. So, um I got a question. Oh, you just created an earthquake again. Um >> sorry. >> So, somebody said, "Once you got your gallery dialed in, um you know, how'd you like it?" So, >> um I liked it when it was dry. I like the finish when it's dry. But, you know, if I compare it to what I really like right now, Rener 851, I'm definitely sticking with Rener 851. I absolutely love the product. It's it's incredible for cabinets and furniture. Um, and you know, they would be it'd be hard to convince me to, you know, um, choose another product right now, but I've tested a lot of products and it's still I I haven't dialed in gallery yet. So, >> need to use it a little bit more. >> Um, I got to use it with a cuz I I used it with a backpack sprayer. Bad idea. So, that was I didn't give it a good chance by using a do-it-yourself backpack sprayer. So, I got to use some different tips and some different sprayers to really give it a >> give it a fair trial. So, I can't give it a good evaluation yet. So, >> So, what are some of the other things you're going to give away tonight? >> Um, any spray and picket fence tips. get in between pickets, etc. Um, spray at an angle and use expert stain and seal stains. >> This is a perfect segment. Um, expert seals. I always mess up their name. >> Yeah, don't stain and seal. Stain and seal experts. >> Stain and seal experts. Chris uses the staining machine and he uses their stain products and loves them. We just found out. You're here because of a raffle. They are doing a giveaway. So, there's going to be you don't have to buy anything, but you need to go to this email. Why don't you put it in there? Propartneredge.com for your chance to win. And it you you could win a stain machine. It's a whole packet of stuff. They're going to be doing a giveaway. >> That's awesome. >> So, you have to go to Can you type it in? >> Propartneredge.com. Pro >> propartneredge.com to enter. It's like almost $5,000. $4,967.85. You have a chance to win that sweep stakes, but you got to go there and follow their directions. And >> no purchase necessary. Um you could win a four $4,000 stain machine. >> Well, the package um is almost $5,000. They're going to win stain, a stain machine, hat, shirt, early access to the stain and seal university in March, which I believe you're going to be at. >> I'm I'm going to be there. >> I think so. So, >> go to that website for your chance to win a thing that Chris has been using. What do you think about their product? Cuz he talked about staining um the sides of the picket. Doesn't their product penetrate all the way through? So, it's a penetrating oil. So, it's easily going to penetrate, you know, through the the picket, through the sides of the picket. It'll penetrate all the way to the other side of the picket. And um for new wood, raw wood, there's nothing better for um >> pre-staining. Um >> so, you get the slides. >> If you use a pre-stain machine, you can pre-stain it or you can spray it or you can brush it or you can roll it. Pre-staining is is pretty ideal. But for new lumber on decks, fences, pergolas, there's nothing better to treat your wood with that actually adds something to the wood. Keeps the wood from splitting, checking, cracking over time, drying out. It's adding oils to the wood, a penetrating oil that literally penetrates all the way through the wood. So, you're adding something to the wood. So, um, I also spray with an HA tip. It's a, you know, it throws out bigger droplets and you want to get a lot on. One of the things about stainless steel expert stains is you do not have to backbrush them. And I didn't believe it until I actually put it to the test. The first few times I used it, I still backbrushed. And then I eventually decided, okay, I'm going to put it to the test. You literally do not have to backbrush anything with it. It's It's insane. It's completely uh user friendly, idiotp proof. You can't mess it up. >> Yeah, >> you you see me. I recently did um a play playhouse structure. Slapped it on, made runs, created runs, did a happy face all over it. All self-penetrated, leveled out, all went away. Absolutely incredible. >> So, we're going to do another giveaway right now. What are you going to give away? >> Whole sticker pack. So, old sticker pack of paint life stickers >> here. Why don't you show some of them? Let's go nostalgic. >> We just be a mystery. >> Okay. >> We've got a how we roll sticker. We've got a >> upside down >> paint life sticker. We've got another Paint Life sticker. We've got, if you ever remember the Paint Life Mafia, we got a Paint Life Mafia sticker. We've got one of our um you know, Craftsman stickers. Um there's all kinds of stickers down there. >> Okay, so this is for the sticker pack. Um, so mix them up. Stir them up. Stir. Stir. Stir. >> So, did you put that same person back in so they could win again? >> I did, but I won't do that next time. But some people bought more than one ticket. And so >> that's true. >> That's like >> So, this one goes to >> the sticker pack. >> Warren Low. >> It What? I need his order number. >> Well, that's his his name. >> I know, but I want to make sure. >> So, he's got a sticker back. So cool. Let's see any um do you use iron iron paint um painting poles or were you already jacked before becoming a painter? So yeah, I mean I've been working out all my life um since >> so as >> a freshman in high school. >> A fun fact, he won the Mr. Idaho bodybuilding show back >> 20 1993. >> Is that 93? >> It was 93. The overall Mr. Idaho title. >> So that was a while ago. >> I was just a young kid. >> We were married. >> We were married. We were married. Yeah, that's a that's >> that was kind of cool. But >> yeah, >> I like >> So he did he did work out that back then >> cuz I was a powerlifter, too. >> Yeah. >> Goes back to my powerlifting days. Um >> what's that green thing on your gun? What's on your gun? Why don't you share what's on your gun? Because that's some giveaways itself. >> What's on my gun? >> So, I mean he Yeah. So, that's funny. Um tip for painting. I'm seeing white on white paint my eyes get blurred. Um lots of light to see the wet edge or so. One of the the hardest things to do is um like on an exterior painting the house the same color because you have a hard time knowing where you went. Painting white on white's the same thing. So, I was just project managing a job, you know, on the last one I just did, this big two-story house. It was a blue house and um the guy was painting it um the same color again. And a lot of people think, "Oh my gosh, it's going to be so much easier. I'm going to use so much less paint." You know, it's not. And after the after the gentleman got done spraying it, I'm like, "Step back now." And you can see all these miss spots on the house. And because you have no idea where you're going, it's really difficult to tell unless it's faded. Um, you know, >> you put more paint on than you normally would. And don't you like you move very methodically and slow to make sure >> I I typically like on a house that's um the same color I typically spray a house with a 515 tip. probably gonna jump up to a 517 tip and just slow down a little bit and be very cautious of my overlaps because it's really difficult to see because the last thing you want to do is like with this house there's a lot of touchups cuz you sprayed the paint on and now you're going to go back and either roll the touch up or spray the touchup and it it was like a dark blue. you're going to see it everywhere you go. And so that's not ideal. It's better to slow down and put, you know, more paint on than to have, you know, color flashing or texture flashing because of touch-ups all over the house because it was the same color. So, I always hate it when customers um want things the same color. So, >> Well, I don't want the same color. >> Yeah. We're going to be painting um my house here pretty soon. Your house um pretty soon. our house for. So, >> um I'd rather paint it the same color >> cuz I like the color. >> But I I brought in my gun because there's a few cool things >> and you know you know the painting companies are always innovating. Technology is always changing and people were saying well I thought you liked Titan tips. Well, you know, there's people show up, other players show up in the game and um you know, some new companies, some old companies. One company showed up, you know, in this um airless game here recently, Poly Hose uh started manufacturing um ho whips. Um >> but they've been doing that for a long time. >> They've been doing it forever. We >> do it for everybody >> known about it. And um yeah, cuz they do it, you know, it's they're very specialized in what they do, but they started manufacturing guards, tips, um and swivels, and best swivel you'll ever invest in right there. That's a Z swivel right there. So, it's a 360° swivel. So, it swivels this direction, but it also swivels this direction. >> What does that do for you? And I it's absolutely insane like how much freedom your hand has to move around with the Z swivel on there. You get you're not fighting, you know, a hose. If you have your hose attached just to the gun, you got to stop that right now. You have to attach a whip. And so every gun attached to an airless sprayer has to have a whip. Um, if you don't know, if you haven't used one, it's a…
