(6,754 characters)Today we're going to be creating our mobile paint booth in my third bay garage. Here we'll be doing some furniture flipping and repainting, and we'll be painting some full-size doors. We'll be showing you the mobile paint booth with the height extenders on it, so you can actually do full-size doors. Now, in this booth, I'm going to show you how easy it is to set up the mobile paint booth. It comes here in this handy bag that allows me to easily access everything and take out all the pieces. I'm going to start by creating the base. First, here are four base pieces. These are going to be set up here, so I just need enough area for my stand. Once I have my base, I'm going to put my corner pieces on. So, just adjust them. There's a little guide here that slides in. Four corners in place, adjusted. Now I'm going to start setting up my poles for my stand. Something like a tent pole stake. There's a magnet on top. Make sure the magnet is on top; don't miss. Now, they come off. [Music] So, your height extender is going to... Slide to the right, move your magnet back to the top. I'm going to stick my height extender on. It's just right so my door closes. I'll have to move my cab back a little. I forgot to put my sides. You just have to slide those pieces on. I have to have this. I'm going to have a post on both sides too. [Music] Now I have some clips. These clips are going to make it easier to put the liner on with these clips. I'm going to put one of these clips halfway down on each post. So you don't want your liner to go all the way down on a post. It makes it much harder. You're just going to work downwards. So this is an extra- large liner, not a standard liner. This is a liner that was made for the extender. It has markings on this liner and it says to start the setup. Here, looking at the cab, it says the first tab. This is the bottom right corner. So this is the first corner that's going to be installed. Then I'm going to be working my way around the cab in this direction. But I extend it down to this clip here. Just take your time, be patient, slide them on. You don't want to tear this. Just halfway through. Now I'm going to move on to the next [Music] connection. Don't worry about getting it slid all the way down. Your connection points until you're all the way down. Then we'll start working down. Let it [Music] go. Now I'm going to start working slowly down my posts. Just work about a foot at a four sides. I want to secure it in place for when I put my extension or support through. So now my lining is all installed. Now the tricky part might be getting my supports through in here in a tight space. Let's see the center one first. I'm going to push through and lock my stake in place. I'm going to push it in slowly. It's magnetic, so eventually it's going to stick right through to the other side. Center of [Music] support. Okay, now we have a paint booth. So here's my exhaust fan attachment. I'm going to attach this to the back of the booth. If you didn't have an exhaust fan, you'd be all done, but we do have an exhaust fan. So let's slide our exhaust fan attachment in. So your exhaust fan can You can put it anywhere, you can put it on the sides or the back. It actually works best if it's at the back of the booth. I'm going to put it on this side because my window is right here. Once the extractor is connected at the back, this is magnetic, it goes right to the front. Now I'm going to put my floor on. It's going to go all the way to the outside right here. I usually run two pieces like X-board, floor shell, something. I want a super thick cardboard that will absorb excess overspray, absorb spills if [Music] air filter. I'm going to use that to make our furniture. Behind the booth is going to be my sanding station and inspection light. Once the adapter is on, I'm going to turn it and adjust it with a strap that So I'm going to turn this corner right here so it's just like this. Try it out. Blow there. I have an exhaust vent right here. This will attach to this end of the fan. You can see right here. If you don't have good filtration, you're going to have a lot of buildup inside your blower. So I'll show you what I do to help stop that thing. So now, this is going to go up. This is going to be vented out my window right here. Now, when I'm using it, I could just turn it on, open the window, turn it on, use it, finish, close the window. I have my venting system set up back here. The vent is going to go out a side window right there, so no excess overspray is going to be carried out of this booth. I have a little extra room in the front to keep a rag. I have a pro tip when it comes to the air filtration system. This is the system that Pint Line sells. It's kind of a filter or pre-filter per se. A lot of silica dust, colored silica dust, still makes its way through. It comes out of the venting system. And if you're on a driveway or concrete, it's going to create a lot of whatever color you're spraying out there. So I normally take one-inch, 20 by 20 filters here and run these first, you know, over my pre-filter here, and I change them very often. As soon as I start to see it sucking in here, I have Two on one side here. I usually use like five of these in a kitchen cabinet set. It's going to keep your ducts cleaner. It's going to keep a lot less dust coming out through your ventilation system. And that just installs right on top of your pre-filter, what I call a pre-filter. know. It's going to be around 15 to 20 minutes to set up. It's a little less, it's around, you know, 12 to 15 minutes without the extenders. The height extenders take me around 12 to 15 minutes. With the height extenders, I'd say like 15 to 20 minutes, but when you get to the actual lining, take your time, be patient. If you break any of these, you know, any of the inserts where the posts go, it compromises the integrity of the cabinet. You can, you know, fix it with tape and stuff, but take your time, you know, corner to corner. You know, invariably, I've put this thing on so many times and I've forgotten, like, I've forgotten to put the little brackets on it for the air filter, but you know. I just slide one of the corners in and install them. The first time I installed all the corners, I forgot my two, you know, side fixings for my posts. So take your time. I typically want to spray, you know, towards my ventilation system. So I'm going to spray here and go in that direction over there. So here's the paint booth. We're going to install our door spray system where I can spray an interior door. I can turn it around and spray the interior door standing up on both sides and both edges at once. So we're going to show you what it looks like here in a [Music] minute
