some new tools to show you and um some new finds. Uh some tools that I found that you still can't find and I think are really cool. I'll show you be showing you some tools today that you know um maybe are cool, maybe not cool. Um got some things sitting in front of me, some new technology and air to spray tips stuff we'll be talking about. So yeah, it's cool. So, I like to like discover new tools. I've been able to, you know, travel all over the world, uh, and, you know, get to meet a lot of painters from all over the world and get to see some pretty cool tools. I was introduced to, you know, tools I've never seen before. Um, when I traveled, I mean, one time I was in Hawaii, I was introduced to a tool that I had no idea even existed and I've been painting for like 15 years. I'll show you that tool if you can guess what that was. Uh if you ever remember or seen any my videos when I was over in Hawaii interviewing painters, but yeah, I was at the hardware show um you know, not too long ago. I think this I think this was um the international build builder show and a painter came up to me from I believe believe Florida and he said hey I got this you know killer idea and um this new invention and you know he gave me this pretty cool story and he's a super cool guy and it was pretty cool to get to meet him and hear his story and he was pretty emotional about it and I ended up getting them he ended up sending me these things the the ladder booties and you know They're called the ladder booty right there. Um I I bogged him and said, "Hey, you know, whatever happened to that invention?" Months went by and he eventually sent them to me because he said he was working on, you know, the prototypes. He sent them to me and you know, I eventually got them and I was like, "Oh my gosh, these things are pretty dang cool." And then I messaged him back. I'm like, "Where can I get them? Um buy them and how much do they cost?" and I messaged him probably three or four times, never heard back from him. And I actually think it actually is a really cool idea. So, if you don't know what it is, a ladder booty, you know, so a ladder booties, um, your ladder is when you actually paint a house, you're painting an exterior. Um, and even, you know, for that matter, the inside the inside of a house, but where we're going to be primarily talking about exteriors, if you take l a ladder with ladder boots, you know, on it, you know, same day, next day, um, especially the same day, you lean the ladder up against it, you up there, you continue to paint, do touch-ups, whatever to trim around the window, the ladder invariably either sticks to the paint, pulls the paint off, or marks up the paint. So you'll see me I've made multiple videos I actually wrap my ladder boots in plastic just what comes off my masker my um 3M masker. I'll typically do that like you know once every couple weeks and eventually the plastic starts to wear off and then you put new plastic on or I just wrap right over the top of the plastic and the 3M plastic keeps it from sticking and it keeps maring up the surface. This little booty actually goes onto the ladder and you cinch it up and now you have a booty on there. You're not uh you know adding more plastic to the landfill, more trash to the landfill. The blue booty is soft. It's not going to stick to the surface. I thought this idea I did email him back. I thought this wasn't a good idea cuz he said the the patch is non-stick. But, you know, that I think if he eventually scratch it or mar it or do something, I wouldn't want that patch on there even though it's nonstick. I told him he should probably sublimate the his um logo on there instead of sewing a patch on or ironing. I think it's ironed on. Iron on a patch. Nope, it's actually sewed on. This is a really really cool cool idea. These things are super cool. I can't get a hold of the guy. Um, I never could, you know, find out how much they cost or where you could actually get them at. He never replied to me. If you ever watch this video, whoever you are, if you invented these, this is actually a really cool idea. I actually love it and I do use them. You can see they're dirty. I use them. So, I use them. As far as I know, this is the only pair that exists. So, um, it's a great great idea, great great idea, great concept. You know, once again, it sends you um or saves you from just adding, you know, plastic to the landfill. The plastic I use, you know, off the masking roll. You know, you end up using, you know, about a strip that much. It's a 3M plastic that's expensive. And so eventually, you know, um shortly it's going to pay for that and then, you know, you're not trying to like rip it off, cut it off and and redo it. So, you know, there's a tool. We just started off with a painters tool. um you know I think is a great idea. So um if you have any you know uh cool ideas if you do have questions you know shoot me your questions. My live stream is always your opportunity to hang out here and get your questions answered you know live. So we've got um well my wife she's in Alabama. So I'm happy to tell you uh this week um is it this week? So today is Friday. Uh this week my um did Sunday. So I guess you know within the last seven days my fifth grandchild was born uh a healthy baby. Awesome Beth. So stoked. So excited. Um I'm going to go see her after the show. So that was a big deal. My wife was in Alabama prior to that. Prior to my middle daughter, you having birth to Beth. And um she was there cuz my oldest daughter is pregnant with her third and it was a false alarm. My wife flew to Alabama. Uh Brooke didn't have the baby. She flew back. We made it. Um we're there for my middle daughter McKenna who works in the store. So um it is Thursday. Yeah. I lose track of like because my wife has been gone. She's been gone and now she's gone again. So I lose track of days. So um today's Thursday. So, um yeah, so thanks a lot, Will. Will Will says, "Congrats." So, totally stoked about that. But then, you know, yesterday, um I think it was yesterday that my um wife flew out again. My um oldest daughter thought she was going into labor again. Wife flies to Alabama and she hasn't had the baby yet, but we're waiting for the sixth. My sixth grandchild is coming, so Tyson is coming. So, I'm totally stoked about that. And um I'm one happy granddad. So um I got to hang out with um my Ab Abigail, so one of my other grandchildren. She was at the store with me today running around crazy. It was get to work with her. It's so fun. So finally caught the man himself live. Congrats on everything with the family. Jay Henton says, "So thanks for being on. If you're on here live, this is your chance to ask questions, whatever you want." So, but I'm just talking about tools. I've gonna, you know, show you guys some, you know, tools that, you know, I use. I I just got I've got like, I think like six bins of tools, you know, out in my storage facility that I just get sent to me all the time. Like I said, I've traveled all over the world. Got to see you um tools if you didn't know. So, I mean, a lot of you are familiar with um the carbide scrapers. So, the 50 mm um carbide scraper. This is the paint life version of the carbide scraper. Indestructible, non-breakable. I was actually in in Hawaii and I was over there and some painters were painting. I think it was like a supermarket or something like that. And I just rolled up to um get them on camera and interview them and and I asked, you know, one of the guys, "Hey, tell me what your favorite painting tool is." And he pulled this thing out of his pocket. And and um you know, I was familiar with scrapers, the big bulky scrapers and stuff. You can't keep them in your pocket. They got a little knob handle on them and scraping sucked. I mean, I hated it. I never wanted to do it. I typically just scraped with my 5in-1 tool that was in my pocket, but he showed me this tool and I'm like, "Oh my gosh, that's the killer tool I've, you know, ever seen. Um, I think it's absolutely amazing. So, it fits in your pocket just like a 5 in1 tool." So, he told me what it was and I went back and it literally took me about 3 months to find it. you know, do a search for it, how to order one, you know, I got it from overseas and, you know, eventually I found out, you know, where they're being manufactured and and um and we started getting them and they're actually sold in our Paint Life store, the Paint Life scraper. So, if you've, you know, never seen one of these or used one of these things, the scraper actually makes scraping fun, literally. So I remember I handed them to my guys and we got back when I bought them I bought a bunch of them and that was you know quote you know John my supervisor at the time he said dude this thing literally makes scraping fun. So it's um it's used for all kinds of things. One of the the great things about this tool is you literally it's so sharp, razor sharp. If you get a run on a flat surface like trim or something or a cabinet doors or something like that, you can scrape the runite right out without having to fill it with Bondo doing excessive sanding, trying to sand the run. You can scrape it right out. Then you can um rub the run out with denatured alcohol. Makes the process super fast, super easy. If you've never seen that scraper, I know now because, you know, I've been using them for years now and you've probably seen them in my videos, but it's probably one of the one of the greater finds that I ever discovered. And I I I didn't discover it because painters already uh in Europe were using it. They were popular over Europe, but it was I discovered it for me. So when I say that it was just a new discovery for me personally that just kind of just like game changed you know the prepping process inside and outside you know painting. So another cool tool if you haven't seen it before um you know there it is. That's what it costs. It's a $17.99 you know for that scraper. It's pretty dang cool. Um if you've never tried it you'll absolutely love it. So, um, if you don't have one, like every painter should have, um, a paint life scraper, you know, in their pocket along with a 5 in1 tool. To me, the favorite one, Lindbite scraper. I mean, I talk about them all the time. Five in one. That's not the the five in one, but that's the putty knife version. So, it has a knife and, um, your tool like a spatula or a five in one tool integrated into it. So, um, cool stuff. So, I'm going to be talking about, you know, tips, too. So, you know, um tech tip de tip technology, you know, continually um evolves, you know, you know, for some for some players out there. It's in some um players, it's not evolving. It's just stayed the same for a lot of years. But a new company that's you know I've recently been introduced to is kind of like um you know creating some um you know you know new technology when it comes to spray tips I'll talk about here shortly and that's exit flex and and it's Swissade technology because most of the the spray tips that you're actually using you know these days now they all just come from China and so that would be what we call Chinese technology And um you know not to knock that technology but sometimes it's not the best technology on the planet. You know Swiss technology is kind of like you know been known historically to be some of the best technology you know there is out there. So I mean I'll talk about you know some of the tips I've been introduced to you know here shortly. If you've got you know anything you want to share just throw it in the chat. any cool tools that you have used um in the past. We'd love to hear, you know, what you know, you've used um and stuff that if I've never talked about a tool before. Um if you think the ladder booties are cool, if you know where, you know, you can actually find them. I think I would love to find them. And you know, I'm sure if you get your hands on them, you know, you and everybody else will probably love to find them, too. Those scrap mostly anything you need or scrape mostly anything you need off. Jay says, "Yeah, I mean they they uh this scraper like just you know scrapes anything, man. So in interior, exterior, it's um a double-sided 50 mm carbide blade. So it's solid carbide. Um if you you know, if you hit nails and stuff like that, you're going to nick the carbide, but they stay sharp for a long long time unless you hit like a metal object and nick the blade. And then if you do nick the blade and stuff, you can just um flip it over it just by, you know, the thumb screw right there. And then, you know, then you have a new blade. And they the blades come in three packs and 10 packs. So if you once again, if you've never checked one of those things out, you know, they're available at Paint Life Supply. So, um that is the the um heavyduty, you know, um uh version right there that screws onto a 10 an extension pole. I never screw it onto an extension pole, but um I always just keep it in my pocket. I always have one in my pocket along with a a 5 in1 tool. So, there's a QR code that actually just take you, you know, right to the link. So, um to you know, my store. So, if you didn't know, um, you know, it's amazing like so, you know, if if you didn't know, I do have a family-owned and operated a store. I was there fulfilling orders today. So, my wife is gone. Um, younger daughter is uh busy with her kid. I get up in the morning that got up 8:00 when started fulfilling if you order from the store. I was fulfilling your orders. So, it's a familyowned and operated store. U me, my wife, my daughters work in it, and we fulfill your your orders. If you actually, you know, get on the chat, you go to the website, um, payupply.com, get on the chat, you're actually talking to us. Um, so most chats nowadays are AI and I think that's like one of the most annoying things out there is every time I get on these chats, um, you know, it's just a bot that and and I just I I type live person and then it'll like spit out something. I just I just keep hitting live person, live person, live person until I actually get a live person. It's absolutely annoying. And most chat chats are like that now. So, um you get on our chat, you get a live person. If we're sleeping, you get nobody. I mean, your chat will actually show up. Um and we'll, you know, answer it. And I I believe you get emailed, you know. Um but because we do answer every single chat that actually comes across. So, um if you have a question, you'll shoot us a message there. If you call our store, you're actually calling us. So, um you're not calling a bot. So, um we're here to help you, man. So, um we appreciate, you know, anybody that orders from our store, paintlifeupply.com. We are um going to do I've going to do another raffle or our raffle for an Apollo um Precision 6 was a big hit. Sold out pretty fast. We're going to be doing, you know, another one. I ordered a couple more Apollos today. Um and so we're going to be giving out another one, you know, pretty soon. Apollo sprayers I think are the best HVLP sprayers that I've well they're the best I've ever used. Um absolutely amazing. The Precision 6 is a six-stage turbine, you know, sprayers. So six stage turbines um by Apollo been that's like new to them. So that's pretty cool. So um you don't have to thin your products anymore. So going to be doing another raffle. I'm getting ready to do that here shortly. So, if you missed out on the last one, um your chance is coming, you know, for the next one. So, um and we're also going to do u a raffle for an echoan sander. So, um stay tuned for that. So, pretty cool. So, if you got any questions, you know, just shoot them to me. I think some people are starting to um Kyler Hernandez. Um Kyler says um has it been a slower year for you all? I've been busier than heck. So, I mean, I have to I wear a lot of different hats, you know, um you know, I'm on these live shows. I travel a lot. I've got an online store, you know, that I have to manage and help help my family manage and run. I paint. Um I'm shooting content all the time. I'm getting ready to shoot, you know, a huge exterior series content and Sheron Williams um has provided rain refresh um for me to test. So, I can't wait to test out Sheron Williams rain refresh exterior paint. So, I hear this technology um you just take you you paint your house with it and literally the rain will just refresh your paint. It'll wash your paint off. So, that's absolutely insane. So, there's new this new technology is, you know, selfcleing paint now. So, I'm super stoked, super excited um to, you know, test it out. I just went and picked all of the paint out today. Getting ready to start filming on Monday. So, that's going to be you a huge filming um project, you know, painting, doing a lot of content and testing out rain refresh. If you have any experience with it, let me know. So, one thing I heard, sure whims, I was right there and they said, you know, whatever you do, um you have to use this masking tape cuz tape don't stick to it. So, I'm like, well, that's interesting. If water beads on it and dirt doesn't stick to it, well, um, naturally, you know, your tape's probably not going to stick to it. For how long? I don't know. But Frog Tape, um, makes I don't know if I have a roll in here. They make, um, I should have brought a roll in. They make a high adhesion tape specifically designed for, um, these, um, these rain refresh technologies that tape won't stick to. So, you know, um, so Frog Tape apparently worked with Sheron Williams because Sher Williams has this technology not just in the because they just recently used it uh with their woodscape solid color stain. So, they have the rain refresh technology and um their woodscapes, they have it in their exterior paint. I believe it's emerald rain refresh. So, um so if you're if you go out and you start masking and the tape just falls off, you know, here we are. So what tape you're using, if it wasn't, you know, Frog Tape's high adhesion tape, you you know why. So this technology, paint doesn't stick to it, just like water, you know, won't stick to it and dirt won't stick to it. So good technology, but you got to know what you're doing when you're um you know, painting and messing with it. So I can't actually wait to like go out there, do that, put some tape on there, and compare two different tapes and see if it falls off. I'm gonna be doing some video content on all kinds of stuff like that. So, um hopefully you guys, you know, will love it. So, very cool. Sounds crazy. I'm all about um staying on top of new technology. Um hello from Australia. So, we got Australia in the house. I've been to Australia. Um um um Dulux. Dulux flew me and my wife John and his wife over there, you know, years ago to teach in the Deluxe Accredited Academy. What an amazing experience I had. Absolutely loved it. If they'd ever want to bring me back, I'd love to go back there. I was there teaching um multiple days in the academy and it was absolutely phenomenal. I was in a Melbourne and I was in um in Sydney and Sydney's absolutely beautiful. Melbourne has amazing coffee. Um great food. Love it. So um let's go Australia. So that was Corbin Weston. Um shout out to you. Thanks for being on the show. How how do you bid on a bedroom full-size room? I keep messing myself up and bidding. I think I'm understanding myself in bidding exterior painting. Exterior painting is a lot easier to bid than interior painting because there's a lot more variables with interior painting because um you know the exterior of the house. I mean you just have your colors and you know one, two, three, five colors whatever and and the whole process of application of those colors is fairly you know straightforward. Um, when it comes to interior bidding, you know, does it include the trim? Does it include the walls? Does it…
