How To Spray A House With A Paint Sprayer. House Painting Instructions. home improvement painting

What happens here

When spraying near ground-level areas such as footings, utilize your cardboard shield to prevent paint overspray onto the concrete or other unintended surfaces. Position the cardboard shield firmly against the surface you want to protect, then spray the siding immediately above it. This technique allows for a clean paint line and protects surrounding elements.

Goal: Prevent overspray onto ground-level surfaces.

Tools and materials

  • Airless sprayer — Applying paint
  • Cardboard shield — Protecting adjacent surfaces from overspray
  • Cardboard shield holder — Securing the cardboard shield during use
  • Spray gun extension — Reaching low areas comfortably

So now I've come to my longer points right here. We're going to be spraying. And then when I get down to the bottom, if I've got footings that I got to shield, that's where I'd use my cardboard shield to shield my footings. And I've got masking down cuz this is a deck. But I typically use my shield and just walk the footings and spray the footings just like that. Now I'm going to work my way all the way down to the bottom.
